Dr. A. P.J. Abdul Kalam

Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam

Painful is heart, very painful its core
To accept that Dr.Abdul Kalam is no more,
His inspiring lustrous journey long
Came to an end at Shillong,
His life was incredible awesome
He was really born to blossom,
In his demise, India lost the true patriotic son
Throughout his life he burnt like the sun,
‘India-Super Power' and ‘Indianness' –his genuine passion
His radiant life itself was a noble mission,
He ‘Ignited Minds' with ‘Wings of Fire'
With ‘The Luminous Spark' he charged the nation entire,
His ‘Inspiring Thoughts' and numerous awards
Would inspire young minds to get rewards,
At ‘Turning Points' on the way to ‘India-2020'
He amazingly test fired successfully missiles plenty,
He was known as ‘Missile Man of India'
He was the true gem of India,
ISRO, DRDO, Agni, Prithvi, SLVs, Pokharan 2
Stand witness to his contributions,
He would inspire nation posthumously
Through these institutions,
He kept promises before he slept
Missiles sent up before he slept,
He breathed his last at Shillong
“People's President” will certainly be remembered long.
