Doors

So many, many open doors
I look into the rooms behind them
All shining bright, white walls and floors
Such wondrous treasures I am finding

They offer things I do not want
And I mistrust their shady cause
For I am good because I look beyond
And I despise their reign, their rules, their laws

Though not knowing what to look for
I know there's mountains I will climb
And so I close, one at a time
All of the many open doors

David Hoffmann

Hi, poets out there! My name is David and I am from germany. You might wonder why I chose this of all sites I could publish poems on. The reason I chose an english website is simple. I love the english language and I think some things sound way better when you write them down in english, than in german.May we all inspire each other :D more…
