DOCE, DULSE, DOLCE, DOUX! (Sweet, Sweet, Sweet, Sweet)!
Candy canes and lemon pie,
Remind us of some days gone by,
How deftly we are tied to taste,
Consumed excessively, there is no waste!
Butter mints, green apple gum,
Chocolate cake is quite the one,
To lead the real parade of fun,
Brought before us by the ton!
Slurp is not the usual way,
Nor is lick and lap, we pay
Then suck the treat that’s brought to us:
Eliminate the fuss!
Is pleased the word we use,
To convey our satiation, or
Is more and more of this required
To yield inundation?
