Should God possess the attributes of boundless loving care,
is there a need to beg Him or plead in daily prayer?

Should God possess the attributes of omniscient knowing,
is there a need to tell Him or reveal anything?

Should God possess the attributes of all forgiving grace,
is there a need to fear Him or fall upon your face?

Should God possess the attributes of omnipresent stealth,
is there a need to seek Him or look outside yourself?

Should God possess the attributes of impartial practice,
is there a need to sway Him or cajole for justice?

Should God possess the attributes of omnipotent power,
is there a need to fight Him or shrink in frightful cower?

Should God possess the attributes so many people claim,
is there a need to nudge Him or glorify His Name?
