Devil's Phantasia

I can feel the razorblades across my heart,
Cutting away the pieces of a love I used to feel,
Ripping your fading memory apart,
In search of something that is truly real.
I look to the stars for an answer,
But they only shine in mute misunderstanding,
I look to my friends for love and a smile,
But here again I'm left alone, standing.
So I look to drugs to ease my pain
A superficial fantasy that locks away the tears,
A devil's phantasia of ecstacy
Erasing the insecurities of my teenage years.
I slice the knife across my skin
Reveling in the bittersweet sensation of heavenly agony,
Intense red sea I'm sinking in,
Forgetting the heartache of my tragedy.
I leave you behind as my innocence fades,
No longer an angel that could do no wrong,
But a devil's phantasia of ecstacy
As I crash into what I feared for so long.
