Fading moon smiles
to the horizon

knowing full well

that its shift is almost over.

Time to be replaced by

promising much

and

delivering less than

expected usually.

A new
 start full of

promise shatteringly

brought to reality.

Minds reminesce

of

previous days of glory.

Summits climbed

and then gazing at future

triumphs and hopes

still confident

that the apex is far below.
