Destiny

I'm tired but sleep isn't an option,
There is a light but that's only my illusion,
I can never find the perfect reason,
To finally give up during this season.

Tonight I just close my eyes,
Falling down, but still dreaming of the skies.
Wherever I may be, I think suddenly
When did I lose my destiny?

You are standing there waiting for me,
Although you fell asleep without me,
First thing I saw when I woke up is you,
Can you please tell me it's true?

My heart beats so fast I want this to ever last,
Can you tell me it's not too fast?
'Cause when I think of you,
All I see is heaven that never coming true.

I want you, I want to feel you,
I can imagine your touch,
Thinking of your heart beat completing mine at last,
Brings me to the irresistible lust.

Tonight I just close my eyes,
Falling down, but still dreaming of the skies
Wherever I may be, I think suddenly
When did I lose my destiny?

I can see you looking closer in me,
And I know this guy is all I ever want to be.
Just like a broken mirror being used,
In order to find the perfect excuse.

I can sense the fear whenever you are not here,
The pain fades away whenever you are near.
The tears fall and my heart breaks,
As if someone hit me with a mace.

All I ever wanted is someone to love,
Wondered if I could find it up above,
What matters most is being loved in return,
Or else it doesn't worth the pain.

Tonight I just close my eyes,
Falling down, but still dreaming of the skies
Wherever I may be, I think suddenly
When did I lose my destiny?

When I think of you I know it's true,
When I see your face I finally have a clue,
An idea of how I want to spend the rest of my life,
Because with you I want to reach the skies.

I keep falling down, deeper in the dark,
But as far as I go, you always keep me up.
I've never thought I could feel this way,
With you I know it's the same way.

Tonight I just close my eyes,
Falling down, but still dreaming of the skies
Wherever I may be, I think suddenly
I finally found my destiny...

Shir Hanochi

"life isn't measured by the numbers of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away". With my poetry, I want to make more of those breathtaking moments, to put everything I feel into words and let everyone else enjoy it as well as learning from it.English is not my first language, therefore I'd like to hear any grammar or spelling mistakes. Thank you all for understanding, and enjoy reading. :) more…
