Desperation

Life can be such a sad plight,
Happiness might always be out of sight,
For a soul who is in flight
Towards a tranquil life of delight.

Pain is such an absurd feeling,
Deprives bliss and life's meaning;
A cruel cross to bear, grueling
Incising the soul, deepening.

Creeping with humiliation,
Gradually, towards heart's destination;
Gathering the pieces of the soul
Once more, hoping to make it whole.

Mending a heart, shattered by pain -
Of friendship lost in the rain,
Of confidence, wished to gain,
Of love, a love in vain.

Farewell, much-loved of mine,
Enveloped with a prayer for thine:
“A journey of life, as good as wine,
That you, with her, will forever be fine.”

I am a Registered Civil Engineer as well as a Lawyer. But in my most humblest estate, I recognize myself as a channel of POETRY to the world. Grateful as a child I am, for in so many times this kind of art emitted to this world, passing through my senses. How lucky I am. Here in this community, we all are. =) more…
