Dementia
Intellectual capacity sighed
as her demise wandered across angles
of remorse, and regret was lost in mind,
memories shattered like a flowered vase,
she's a fragment of yesterday's promise,
or was, until she flew into the stars.
Curly haired freedom straightened itself up,
it drooled while personality scattered
winds of time through impairment, delicate
balance shifted into the dead domains.
Insanity disturbs love's compassion,
spittle wraps concentration in ribbons.
Life, it stumbles forward now for children
who watched her journey fall like snow; melted
troubles, and sisters, brothers, I assume
crack the whip of fear, perhaps their moments
are in jeopardy, sand on the floor's tiles,
we're here for a brief eternity only.
