Deep Sleep

Endymion, a tall tale,
received generous scouth.
By sleeping in forever
he found eternal youth.

Sleeping Beauty, a tall tale,
received unending love.
By snoozing a hundred years.
she found her turtledove.

Ephesus sleepers, a tall tale,
received a refuge cave.
By dozing three thousand months
they found the delta wave.

Rip Van Winkle, a tall tale,
received freedom unfurled.
By napping for twenty years
he found a revised world.
