Death in the ash

Karolina Marszałkowska 1993 (Gdańsk)

Ash is falling, rain of fire
Nature cries black tears of anger
Destroyed all what you admired
Nothing's left time to surrender

Rivers are black, don't try to drink
It will cause a sudden death
This really happened, who could think
That we'll lose everything we had

The air is black, so hard to breath
Life is fading before our eyes
Mountain too started to bleed
Days transformed into nights

And it's your fault the earth is dying
How could you do it to your home
You;re shaking head and still denying
Nothing matters, there is no hope

Ash is choosing  who to kill
My friend, neighbour fell already
Now I think I cannot feel
I can't seem than them more steady

If it wasn't the end of time
I would say : what perfect picture
Now I still wish to survive
And protect every small creature
