Death
If I had the chance to change who I am
Would I take it?
If someone trusted me with love
And gave me their heart, would I break it?
The world around me, an echo of truth
And for the people inside it, I have no use
How can one explain their thoughts
Though to trust more, I really ought
But why open my soul if just to be hurt?
My protected trust is always burnt.
I wish that I could understand
And outstretched around me are open hands
But to take the jump, that leap of faith
Would always lead to certain death
