Day, Please Stay

Butter field

Today is to yesterday
as tomorrow is to today.
If only a single day
would decide to stay
I would truly be happy in every possible way.
If time desired money,
all of mine I would be willing to pay
so that it would forever remain
the twenty-third of May.
