Darling Just Show Me

He’ll be your earth
And you’ll be his sun
Though many may orbit
He is the one
Who you’ve brought to life
In whom you can live
With him you will walk
By the light that you give

And just like the deer
Under the morning sun
You’ll graze upon his landscape
With gentle lips undone
Darling just show me
What it is you see
I am empty and void
Until you call me to be

Though you weep and you cry
Thought you live life in fear
Though your father never knew you
And you can’t hide that you care
And though words can be knives
That pierce through your heart
Don’t consider that fabric
The most delicate part

Because that torn veil reveals
What is hidden in most
That principled strength
In that foundational post
Darling just tell me
What it is you see
I am lost in the shadows
Unless you shine upon me

Shine down on me
Shine down on me
