A blazing beacon beams
 Crowning desolation
 The force of sadness seems
 To enjoin isolation
 Mirrors in the streams
 Sprung from secret places
 Silence grows obscene
 And kills whatever graces
 Sanity withholds
 For Faith has not an eye
 Nor a riddled soul
 Can tell the reasons why
 The glitter of the stars
 Seem like loneliness
 But in the still of pain
 There may yet be holiness
