Cunning As My Thoughts Can Be
Cunning as my thoughts can be
I have come to honour thee
Sombre morn and thou have to listen
To urban hymn as the mornings glisten
Reflect thy haven, sound in song
Quest I’ll be the vagrant all day long
Maybe there is malice in my words
Seldom spoken, but always heard
Notably! I could understand
Vestige be thy open hand
Sombre sun in daylight hue
Beneath the seem of endless blue
Glimmer of light, therein the opening
There is faith, beneath my skin
Shall I play the part of fool?
Never shall I be as cruel
Creed of man I understand!
Passage scribed upon my hands
Thou hath, known me
As thou hath, seen thee
Noble deeds I understand
Thou hath, known my outstretched hands
