Could It Be Love That Has Survived The Test?

Taking a stroll in the park,
Weaving in and out of several cars.
Arm and Arm with my third brother,
Gazing from one face to another.
For a while there was noone that I knew,
Trying to guess faces without a clue.

Thinking of friends of long ago,
Wishing I could see one person I know.
Speaking, smiling, saying hi and who are you,
Looking and wishing I had something to do.
Sun beaming hot down on my face,
Watching small children take part in a race.

Never dreamed what would happen next,
Someone called out my name and our eyes met.
My mouth flew open and I leaped for joy,
For a few minutes I could see a star.
A lump arose in my throat and my heart beat,
Dance, Dance, Dance was in my feet.

Forty six years has past since we last met,
Could it be love that has survived the test?
