Confusion

A great river can be deep
While a towering cliff might be high

The chioces to either swim or climb
Either way I know that I must try

The river is so long
And the top of the cliff I cannot see

If I am to travel forward
Which direction should it be?

With fast flowing rapids
That surely might drag me down

Engulfing me into a darkness
With the fear that I might drown

The wall that lay before me
Yet so steep and forever tall

I know that which ever path I take
Could drag me under or I might fall.

Shane Carnell

I am a quiet person at most times, who has experienced both hardship and joyful times throughout life. Within my writings, I have found ways to express myself, with my silent thoughts. Some of my poems come from the heart, while others, do come from my imagination, and such an imagination I do have.I do hope that you like my work? more…
