Come lay with me

oh what a wonderful day indeed
so come outside and stay with me
let the light of the sun gaze upon
your pale face
which reads of the winter
not long passed

lay with me
under the tree
and listen to the birds
sing their stories
as we watch the blooming flowers grow
take my hand and never let go

lets stay here till the day turns to night
to watch the the stars burn so bright
and make a wish upon
that falling star
shhh don't tell me yours and I wont tell you mine

as we feel the cool breeze of spring
gently kiss our cheeks
lets look into each others eyes
to see the joy we bring each other
as we slowly drift to sleep
