Cold

I find that if I sit alone,
While summers still in flight,
I may discover how it feels,
To touch the northern lights.

For is a bird,
Not still a bird?,
Though it can't spread it's wings.
I'll try and reach into the cold,
And sit with ice-cap kings.

Ice cubs falling from my glass,
That twinkle on the ground,
Reminds me of my winter home,
Where things once lost are found.

Polar bears, and penguins roam,
About my frostbit head.
I watch the frozen stars shoot by,
while laying in my bed.

If only you could see the beauty,
Now brandishing and bold,
I promise you, my dearest friend,
You would not fear the cold
