Cl_m_nt_n_

rest your head
and systematically rest
your nervous systems
let the medicines
take hold of all willing victims
the sleep is medicated
and technicians venerated
no one's ever awoken
during an erasure
quick, knock him out
to give measure
keep the vision obscure
crumbling houses
and libraries falling down
all books with no names
a black cloud engulfing
each corridor
grasping your hand
and running
you're left in my mind
but never here
take the train out to Montauk,
Joel, only you this time of year
but she follows me
into the coffee shop
and makes a hot tottie
her face is perfection
why is it I fall in love
with every woman I meet
who shows me even the slightest attention?
I want to bury you deep
in my subconscious
but they keep finding us
you can run
but never hide
from those who wish to destroy it
we only have this one last moment
what do we do with it, you ask...
enjoy it.
