Child of Glass

I am a child of glass who clings to soulful songs.
For your voice is a cloud that blankets my shouting
heart and shakes down floating drums that beat down on
my brain.
I cannot linger in this e*** maze you call your velvet
tongue.
For deceit has scraped away your destitute flesh
and turned it into flames of earthly guitars.
Livid are lonesome waters who giveth of recycled bins.
Lord, shelter me from whispering shadows and help me
walk through.
I wish I could see the wonders in your crystalline eyes
that sparkle with every touch of your sweet kisses.
Jesus, he died for us upon the cross to many distant
stars that shine from above that are the way.
He is the fortitude of cost and reward giving the Way
through blessed waters that divide when our souls have
grown too tired from life's whip brought on by the
burdens which we drink from bitter tears,
and I even got that much closer to God.
