Cheyenne Cowboy

He was born and raised in old Cheyenne
And he grew up to be one hell of a man
His dad was a rancher, his momma was Sioux
And he was the bravest that I ever knew

Now he was just another cowboy
And that was all he wanted to be
But he rode the wind and touched the sky
From Abilene to Calgary

Some say he was a legend
But he always wondered why
He showed no fear when death was near
And never blinked an eye
But then one day he fell and then
He knew that he would die
And caused another star to burn
In that Wyoming sky

Now he was just another cowboy
And that was all he wanted to be
But he rode the wind and touched the sky
From Abilene to Calgary
