Cherry Pie

A pig in a wig doin' a jig while tyin' a rig of lyin' so big don't give a fig 'bout what's goin' round on his own piece of ground while he's makin' a mound
So he come gettin' nosey on mine-scratchy and sniffing my posey and pine-feedin' me a faded ol' line tryin' to trade ticket for fine
His fat flabby lips be flip flappin' like a dog with a bone be yip yappin' while I try to keep my feet from tip tappin' and hold back my tongue from rip rappin'
How can HE...be tellin' ME...how to BE...with my own
As if he had something I'd never known
Say guy...cherry pie
Spit in the eye
You could be...leavin' me...all alone
You're peddlin' wares I won't own
You could be...leavin' me...all alone
A radical rad of a cad is so bad tellin' he's got what I never had
But I bein' better than think it to true tellin' the man with the ban what he can do
Try foolin' a fool to thinkin' you cool is givin' the devil his due to foolishly fool the real foolish fool that is you is pullin' the wool black and blue
Say guy...cherry pie
Spit in the eye
You could be...leavin' me...all alone
I got what I already own
You could be...leavin' me...all alone
Say guy...cherry pie

Rowine Conley

Writing is not something I do--it's something I am. I have been a wordsmith since before I could write. I have now written 2 novels, 6 children's books, several short stories, and boxes full of poetry. I am now disabled but I still have a day job. I have 7 sisters, a dog and 2 cats (one has only 3 legs), A daughter, numerous "God-daughters", A son, and a few "God-sons". I am Extremely Biblical though I don't really follow organized religion. God is my life and I have truly been blessed-For God By God...Peace Out__Gypsy Row more…
