Certain

On a certain day
Of a certain week
In a certain month named June

A certain man
With a certain smile
And a certain wink walked through the park

Beheld a certain lass
Of a certain class
Sitting certainly straight on the park bench

Certain folks
Certainly thought
These two could be one in a certain future

This certain fellow
Sat beside the certain lass
In a certain voice both low and clear asked

“If an angel came to see you
Would you make him feel at home?”

She replied, “I would give him all he asks.”

He sighed as he said, “But you know angels don't ask”
“Their will is from ‘The Maker'.”

Certain he stood
She took his certain arm
Their lives were joined a certain way.
