Catching Firelfies

Catching fireflies in the middle of the night
A shooting star goes by, is that a satellite?
Catching fireflies in the middle of the night
May, April, December and June,
Given to me to protect and to groom
A leader a champ I was number one,
Never looked up, except to see dawn
Where are they now, this afternoon?
They never knew that someday soon
Catching fireflies under a bright full moon
Brings joy, happiness, a few musical tunes
This cycle assures us when they depart
A mother, a father remembering at dark
Catching fireflies in the middle of the night
Now being grandpa is ALRIGHT!!
