Call of The Ocean

I began to run towards the waves of an ocean
But white sands prevented me from running -
I fell on the sands, couldn't reach the water line.

Only my feet got wet with my own blood
 Streaming from the wounds
 Caused by the broken seashells
On which my bare feet stepped hard.

Leaving behind the ocean of my illusion
I came back to the real world-
The world of struggle and love
The world of punishments and rewards.

The waves from the illusive ocean-
Called me back, but I did not listen.
It is still calling me in my dream
I know, one day I'll have to listen
To go.
