Butterflies Instead

If only we could flutter,
that would be perfection.

To fly so freely,
would it be simple enough for you?

It's the complications you fear.
They hide themselves from me, I would solve them yet.

I would tremble -
up, up, upwards.

I do not ask you for fifty years.
Three simple days would suffice, as long as that was my end.

I would treasure such a simple time.
