Burden of Life

Darkness falls upon me
With the burden of responsibility hanging off my sleeve
Mathematicians would run at the sight of these problems
But it’s my job to solve them
Life is a math problem without an equation
The only way to solve it is through process of elimination
Sometimes with silent tears and no consolation
And no way around the difficult situations
Life changing decisions will be made
A high price for mistakes will be paid
But life goes on or so they say
But they never said that the pain goes away
The happy moments are many but very short lived
Funny how you easily remember the bad times but for the good you need a sieve
I’ve been told live every moment as if it was your last
And to leave disappointments in your past
You are responsible for everything you do
So make wise choices, decisions, and be accountable too

These are but written photos of my life, my mind, and those around me captured as best as I could in words. I'm not a trained writer so my style is of no particular way. I have long detailed poems and short to the point ones. My hope is that you can see what I have seen feel what i felt with out braking your head trying to figure out what I meant. Enjoy! more…
