Budding Fields

Buds tight-lipped, bob in the wind
Trembling the fields of May
Glistening ice like diamonds unwanted
Hath ended their prolonged stay

A bluebird adorns the lonely bath
And sings a song well missed
While pale shoulders admit their hunger
Tasting light 'till they be sun-kissed

Winds so temperate, taste as sweet
As the honey from a bumbling bee
Whispering farewells to an ashen Winter
As Spring brings new life to thee
