Broken Window

It wasn't you; it wasn't me,
the football fell down from a tree.
It did not fly from someone's feet,
just playing football in the street.

It wasn't me; it wasn't you,
but next door's window is cracked in two,
but was it aliens from Mars,
that came and broke our neighbours glass?

It wasn't you; it wasn't me,
but Mister Jones is so angry.
We're both looking really glum.
He's going now to tell our mum.

It wasn't me; it wasn't you
When dad gets back, what will he do?
It wasn't me; it wasn't you,
The problem is. . .that it's not true!
