Broken Hearted

She was left with the after mass
Destruction and debri
it came like a tornado
Ripping through her life

Scarcely has she had time to reflect
Time to dwell or understand
Confused and numb she waits
wondering what has happened

Where is the comfort of it all
how could everything be different
What demon would do this
shaking she begins to understand

Darkness is everywhere
sunlight retreats and fades
Sorrow smiles and takes her hand
Happiness becoming a distant memory

She feels the loneliness
Her heart filling with dispair
Pain twists at her heart
and she moans deep inside
