Bridge at the crossroads

Walking down lifes curve in the road
misery in my troubled soul
reaching the crossroads of my life
Ahead,another bridge to cross,
nothing but tears of sorrow to my right,
to my left open wounds of a broken heart,
years of pain and misery if I turn to go back
over the darkened river of dreams
I walk onto the bridge I must cross
my thoughts become confused
into the river of dreams I gaze
sifting through the darkened waves
a constant current of broken dreams
all the misery,pain,and sorrow
the heartaches run in fathoms so deep
from the fathoms thoughts begin to surface
to neon lights reflecting in the waters
a yurning hunger fills my soul
the neon light lifts my spirit
its beacon so bright it softly beckons...
