Breath Of Me

Breath of me - lazily wandering around the home,
where you tread in my wake, sometimes,
I am gentle upon your skin, my mellow breezy mood
washing fresh smiles into eyes wandering the day.
Other times I will blow my life across heaven
and earth and you will fear me with all heart,
powerful me, bleeding leaves into whirlwind dance,
killing life with a toss of my head, destroying
the buildings you took so long to create,
ripping trees from their roots and breaking them
like they were nothing but frightened twigs.
Schizophrenic wind am I, flying through the times
I own, love, hate, breath of me - invisible wind.

Breath of me - feel me gently move flower-heads
in gardens, fields full of colours bright and beautiful,
I will shake petals with all my soul and blow laughs
across evensong, lift litter from ground,
make origami shapes only subtle minds will find
in dreamy moments of reflection of self.
I roam mother earth, I'm connected to her smiles,
her anger, her sorrows, as the seasons change,
so do I, always in tune, wherever I be: everywhere.
I scratch waves upon the sea as easily as gentle
ripples on pond's puddles, skip stones across breadth
of body and smile my windy smiles, breath of me,
breathe me in to live - invisible me giving life or death.
