Bones Shake Songs

Past's imagery is drawn on reality,
colour's added slowly - passions, desires,
hopes and ideals; interacting wildly.
Curled tightly inside the mind's corner; dreams
spin her footsteps through gestures of goodbye.

Needles of experience rapid-fire
into the cold wealth memory gathers.
Gulps and coughs display the stomach-pump's wares,
new sheets swallow gasps; foetal positioned.

The present explodes in delicacy;
a work of art - constantly it changes
as blood surfaces: smoothly wiped away.
Naked to experience - bones shake songs
while yesterday's chants sip shaded remains.

Time's old language beats steadily against
the pock-marked skin of cool delicious life.
Blues intermingle with paper thin stares,
stains dry on the bed of deserted love.
