Blood Faery

When the sky ceases to be
And your dreams begin to bleed
Melding with reality
The stars will flicker and fade
Moonlight melts slowly away

Maybe when the sea
Reaches up, you'll see
This world has finally begun
Tearing slowly to come undone
Black horizon for all to see

When our cries fill the sky
When our souls turn black as coal
When the dead are piled high
He will rise

Mother and child clutched
Trembling, crippled by fear's gentle touch
Softly tears fall to their feet
Pounding the rhythm of his heart beat
The Blood Faery opens his eyes

When our cries fill the sky
When our souls turn black as coal
When the dead are piled high
The Blood Faery will rise

Now it begins
Your bones can feel it in the wind
Creeping through the trees
His whispers have decreed
Judged to eternal damnation
Humanity's finale, extinction

Our cries fill the sky
Our souls turned black as coal
The dead are piled high
The Blood Faery will despise

His hands tightly cover
His dead eyes watch as he smothers
Sent to extinguish our life's spark
Silence now fills our hearts

When he no longer hears our desperate cries
When he no longer feels our heart's beat
His hands will release
Our souls found peace
