Bleeding Truth

I have a question to ask and it haunts my peace
Total honesty, even though it hurts, that’s what I seek
No matter how deep the truth cuts or how much I bleed
Open your heart and mind show me, that’s what I need
Would you open the door and take me in out of the cold
No matter how dirty I appeared hospitality would you show
I know my path has not been one you would follow
Would you show compassion for a soul that appears hollow
I know I said I would not repeat my numerous mistakes
But I did many times over again and my brokenness in me awakes
Disappointment and failure I see the reflection in my own eyes
Although I am so sorry all I feel is self loath and I cry
Would you please forgive me just one more time
The path I’ve followed stretches far such a crooked line
Could you try and see me as the person I am striving to become
Not broken by mistakes but a new person that overcomes
I extend this dilemma to you and I want you to know
All this I give to you my son and to you I show
Open door of shelter, compassion I give to you in true love
Never ask yourself these questions again, I lift you up to our Father above.

Maylinda Jane McRae

I haved live in Georgia all my life. I have four beautiful children and five grandchildren,an amazing man in my life named Scott. God has also blessed me with many loving family members and friends. God has blessed me in so many ways and I want to share with others how amazing he is and the grace that he wants to bestow on others. I have been writing since I was a little girl, it has always helped me to express myself whether it was during a storm or a victory in my life. My prayer is that my poems will help someone who may be going through a storm or celebrate a vicotry in life. more…
