Blanket of Blue
In a blanket of blue
wrapped upon our bed
beneath a heaven painted
in orange and red.
From the brightest stars
crowning the blue
hung above a golden hallo
that surrounds you.
In a pigment of colours
tempered in shades
pales in comparison
to the love we made.
To have your naked body
meshed next to mine
like the shape of the rainbow
we inner twine.
To feel your pulse beat
faster than time
Like a swing of a pendulum
beating in rhythm and chime.
We shall
mould beneath the colours
blending our lust
Within
our flames of passion
bound in a lovers trust.
