Black Friday

There in the line up
Gates open
And there off
Shoving each other,,steeling carts
Grabbing things from each others hands
This is mine,,that's mine
Take cover
Rushing and running
Clothes,,games, toys,
All kinds of things for girls and boys
Prefume,jewelry, handbags too
Better move over and let the stampede thru
Wearing your battle gear
Put up your shield
Fight for your purchase
Gather your yield
Take a deep breath
Now run to check out
You can do it again next year
Without a doubt
So sit down and rest for a minute
The stores will be open at 8am tomorrow
And I am sure you'll be in it

Yvonne Groover

Well I am 53 years old and I love writing. I have been writing for pleasure since I have been 12 years..I have had some creative writing courses and some of my writings are being used in one of my schools as an example of writing, I start blogging of MySpace 3 years ago and now I write in notes on Face Book,,,,and currently here on Poetry.com...I have always been known for my imagination and creativity and have learned to apply it to my career of being a pre school teacher. I like to write about varied topics and subjects,,Some of my writings have been considered to be some what suggestive and erotic and some dark and some funny,,,,,mostly I write whatever I am feeling at the time...I'm not certain as to how graphic one can be with their writings so for now I will be very careful. Hope you enjoy reading my writings as much as I enjoyed writing them...I really appreciate your comments and suggestions,,Thank you ,,,,,, more…
