Bird with a broken wing

I'm distressed about the future
and I've forgotten how to sing.
We face a world of murder and drugs.
We are a bird with a broken wing.

The bird is vunerable to its prey.
It flutters, but can not fly.
The bird is aware of its demise
and makes an unsuccessful try.

It fears the worse is yet to come
and tries to heal, and so, it hides.
What can one bird with a broken wing
help a world that has lost its pride?

It takes healing and praying,
teamwork and positive training.
We need old-fashion ethics and rules
to restore our World with a broken wing.
