Betty Anne (an example)

Betty Anne is pretty
Bette Anne is smart
Bette Anne was decent from the very start
Betty got confused
And thought a drug would help
She had a better respect for the drug
Than she had for herself
Betty Anne got pregnant welfare paid for this
All that crossed her mind
Was all the drugs that she would miss
Betty Anne used monthly checks
To pay for the expensive drugs
This soon was not enough
She began to mug
Betty Anne's newborn is by this time dead
This "small incident" briefly passed
Through Betty Anne's head
But Betty Anne is strong now
And knows that she can cope
Betty Anne found peace today swinging from a rope.
