Below this Headstone

Please take a moment
to read the inscription
written on the stone above
and tell me if it states
what caused me to be here,
was it an error, some accident
for which I had no control,
or was it a deliberate act
of some crazed soul,
did I suffer pain
or just go in silence,
should I have been a better person
or did I go to Heaven,
no one bothered to explain
my sudden absence
from existence,
nor shall they
for you,
so we must depend
upon someone else
to stop and read
the story of our demise.
I trust you are prepared
to go and wait for the reasons why.
