bee-ware of kisses

what is this thing
that I see
floating in the air
in front of me?

two ruby lips
in a pout
is this one of those kisses
that you hear about?

where do they come from?
what are they for?
one thing for certain
they're hard to ignore

once one's found you
they're ready to play
you can try to hide
but you can't get away

I'm going to find out
what it does to me
what will it feel like
will it sting like a bee?

I'll close my eyes
And not misbehave
Oh no here it comes
I must be brave

Its attack is gentle
Just our lips meet
The touch is tender
The taste is sweet

it lingers briefly
then flies away
and beckons me
to come and play

I hope you like
this game too
because now it wants
to play with you
