Becoming

Did you hear the voices at the door?
Telling me to be at peace, and scream no more.
Did you ever realize how I sink into my soul?
Did you pour the darkness that has blacked the fallen snow?
Who has beat the beast that is dying in my ears?
Who awoke the demon that is roosting in my fears?
I destroyed the panther that was breaking into run.
I have broken nature and released the rising sun.
I became the water that myself is drowning in.
I created dragons that are swimming in my sin.
