Band-Aids And Pick-Axes

Don't resort to acts of war
when peace talks will do.
Don't resort to either-or when no choice is true.

Don't resort to surgery
when Band-aids will do.
Don't resort to perjury when you could be true.

Don't resort to disbelief
when good faith will do.
Don't resort to woeful grief when some hope is true.

Don't resort to surliness
when kindness will do.
Don't resort to frostiness when heat could be true.

Don't resort to pick-axes
when door-keys will do.
Don't resort to poll taxes when no man is true.
