AZ Sunset

Sonoran desert's evening hues
Bursts of color fill the sky
Crimson fades to rich deep blues
The artist's palette is almost dry

Bursts of color fill the sky
The sun surrenders to the stars
The artist's palette is almost dry
Painting the band and their guitars

The sun surrenders to the stars
Darkness settles in
Painting the band and their guitars
The music's about to begin

Darkness settles in
Festive lights blink on
The music's about to begin
The sun is almost gone

Festive lights blink on
The moon a sliver shining bright
The sun is almost gone
As if to say good night

The moon a sliver shining bright
Crimson fades to rich deep blues
As if to say good night
Sonoran desert's evening hues

Hey, some of these aren't that great but what the heck. I just like writing how I feel in the moment so some of my poems might be confusing because I was confused in that moment. Maybe thats why I wanted to write a poem, to sort out my thoughts. Anyway, just read them and hopefully just one of them will bring you some kind of joy, or make you feel some kind of connection. Peace.>>>I also do star photography - probably why space works its way into a lot of my writing. http://mcb-photography.blogspot.com/ more…
