Ax To Grind

Many have an ax to grind to further ambition.
Many have a double bind to confuse cognition.
Many have a bone to pick to give admonition.
Many have a carrot-stick to induce condition.
Many have a band of gold to uphold tradition.
Many have a hand to hold to cheer disposition.
Many have a myth to tell to gain recognition.
Many have a thing to sell to collect commission.
Many have a mark to make to win competition.
Many have a score to break to beat opposition.
Many have a heart to find to achieve fruition.
Many have a mate to bind to give parturition.
Many have a wit intact to reach erudition.
Many have a precise fact to quell superstition.
Many have a mouth to feed to stop malnutrition.
Many have a field to seed to restock transition.
Many have an ox to gore to bolster position.
Many have an open door to set loose volition.
