Avenues of broken hearts

Everyday I wake up knowing that no matter how much I try
No matter how much I exert myself
I will never live up to her expectations
It's hard to know that the only person that you ever cared for doesn't share the same feelings about you
Roses left at her door, only to be ignored
Time spent self sacrificing
Time spent trying and trying to make her happy
It's sad to know that she will never love you back
It's sad when the person who she is with is undeserving
It's sad when you know that you could of been that guy, the better guy
Forever crying yourself to sleep at night
Telling yourself over and over that everything will be okay
Everything will dissapear
Her image, her smile will simply fade away
A simple memory left on the porch to decay
Forver walking on empty avenues
Lost in your thoughts
Drowned in your never ending tears
Tears for the girl who you think is your world
See, your heart beats her name, but her heart does not beat for you
You thought that she was the one
You thought that out of a million, that she was going to be yours forever
But forever never occured
She entered your life
You got yourself in too deep
You kept on hoping that she would one day become your queen
She entered your life, only to destroy your dream
Now you walk amongst the heart heart broken
You walk in Avenues of Broken hearts
