Autumn's Lulaby

Look..now comes summer's reaping,
So don your most passioned clothes.
And prepare yourselves for weeping,
For, yonder harvest moon doth glow.

Listen..soon you shall all be sleeping,
Safely beneath soft blankets of snow.
Cold sister comes this way a leaping,
For, the north wind has begun to blow.

Hurry..sister's chill comes a creeping,
And all the grasses will cease to grow.
You shall miss my warm safekeeping,
For soon my children, I too must go.
