At The Crossroad

At the crossroad of life,
Fate lurks...bartering feats
Of daylight: mine lacks glitter,
While yours oozes fire.
The dark phase
Of my humdrum existence--
Pining for some kind of redemption,
Connotes a promise--
Possessed by you to render me,
Is why I seek and pray
For some sort of vindication.
And why I run after my own shadow
In the light of your sweet memories.
